UNILAG Lecturer Slaps Mass Comm Student For Coming Late to Class

Dr. Majekodunmi, a no-nonsense Political Science Lecturer at the University of Lagos slapped a female Mass comm student (name withheld) for coming late to her class.

According to an eye witness, the Lecturer had ordered the door to the class to be shut after she came in. Shortly after that, a couple of Mass Communication students who were equally offering her course showed up. While one of the student was trying to explain why they came late, she walked up and slapped her on the face.

This infuriated all the students who were witness to the assault and they promptly rambled to the Dean of Students' Affairs office where they were advised to put their complaints into writing.

Stick around as more unfolds

England to Test Roads That Charges Electric Cars

Nothing scares drivers of electric cars more than the thought of running out of charge in the middle of nowhere. There’s even a term for this fear: “range anxiety.”

To quell range anxiety, and hopefully encourage more drivers to choose electric vehicles, England is testing an under-road charging system that would recharge batteries while cars drive.

“The potential to recharge low emission vehicles on the move offers exciting possibilities,” said Transport Minister Andrew Jones in an official statement. “The government is already committing £500 million over the next five years to keep Britain at the forefront of this technology.”

Trials, slated to begin later this year, will involve installing charging systems underneath mock roads designed to replicate real highway conditions. In these “dynamic charging” systems, coils are buried beneath the asphalt of special charging lanes, offering contactless charging to vehicles fitted with charging “receivers.”
